Great video hit twitter today that I had to comment on:
That look on her face is pure magic. Her day has been changed. Perhaps even the course of her life.
And all of it from a random guy, who decided while she was on television to go and give her a kiss.
“But Pat, how could he do that and not only get away with it — but make her so happy? I thought guys needed to go through the phases… attraction, comfort, seduction… that they needed to get consent, etc.”
Well, you know the old thing about rules. There’s always an exception to them.And when a guy is handsome, playful, and bold… sometimes he’s able to bypass it all, quickly.
Here’s why:
First, the looks. Obviously, if she’s physically attracted to you, the barriers to getting physical with her are much much lower. In many ways, the door is already open. Girls “hook up” with hot guys all the time — not because they want anything serious, but just because they’re horny and want the guy to be someone cute (the irish accent doesn’t hurt!)
Second, the playful boldness. I put these together, because just one or the other wouldn’t do it. It’s the fact that he is willing to “take her” by surprise… but also that he finds his own approach to be as much self-amusement as genuine desire. If she had rebuffed him, he wouldn’t have cared; being audacious was its own reward. And she senses this.
But finally is the context.
You see, if he had gone up to her while she was by herself and did this — her response would not have been so positive. The move would be less fun, more fearsome — the aggressiveness would have seemed out of line and uncomfortable, not sexy.
Why?
Well here is where things get really interesting my friends.
Because what really attracted this girl to the guy… what in some ways is even more relevant than his looks…
Is the fact that he not only did it in front of other people, but on live television.
Not only did this indicate to her that this irish chad was not simply confident, but really confident — imagine his potential humiliation if she responded poorly (and recall, the newscast was about wearing “face masks”, so there are levels to this).
But it gave her attention girls can only dream of getting.
It made her an object of desire to MILLIONS of people.
And if there is ANYTHING women want, it is this sort of fame.
To be known to all as the prize for the prince.
Which is why such tales have told throughout time.
Now notice I didn’t say “sex symbol” — because this is in fact a cheap version of the above. That is a transactional, low vibration form of “feminine adoration” — like violence for men, compared to gallantry.
