Apologies for the lack of emails of late. My mind, like many of yours, has been towards family and unravelling the mystery of this virus and what’s in store for society.
Those of you who follow me on Twitter know that I’ve been going into some of my observations about the weird shit actually going (per my research), and will be every Wednesday and Saturday through Easter.
Not on this list though.
This list will remain purely about dating and relationship topics.
But I do want to say one last thing before I get into the “meat” of today’s email…
Because I know a lot of you out there are worried, suffering, even panicking…
I want you to know that I am 1000% certain that everything is going to be FINE.
Indeed, much MORE than fine. AMAZING things are ahead for us.
Both materially, spiritually, and yes — romantically.This virus is the end of an old world and the beginning of a new one.
The uncertainty we are experiencing now is just the messy birthing process.
Some will scoff at this, and that’s fine… even expected…
But I am going to say my piece on it anyway.
A LOT is going to be happening over the next few months.
If you’re in travel, hospitality, or restaurants… I feel for you in particular.
But this will pass… and opportunities will be SIGNIFICANT afterwords.
Take this opportunity to spend time with your loved ones. And be a voice of CALM LEADERSHIP.
I am seeing far too many guys shit their pants over this, creating more fear and uncertainty in the process.
We are going to survive this, but how YOU show up makes all the difference about how we experience it. Anyway, onto the content…
As you might have supposed, all of this social distancing makes it very hard to meet women.
Parties are cancelled or banned. Bars closed.
Cold approaching is mostly a no-no.In big cities, lockdowns (of sorts) are already beginning.
So what to do?
Well, nothing… you might think.
Except while this may be a drought for dating in general…
For ONLINE DATING this is a GOLDEN ERA.
Because not only are people lonely…
Not only is the tension high (which means arousal is “baked in”)…
And not only are the “openers” easier than ever (anything corona-related works)…
But most of all, women who NEVER do online dating are now deciding to join.
Understand:
These women are used to meeting guys out and about, or are distracted by work and friends.
But now they are thinking: “Well, I’ve got nothing else to do, why not try it.”
So if you are a guy who is not big on online dating (and I don’t blame you).
Now is the time to put aside ego and jump in.
Yes, a lot of girls are going to flake, because they’re too afraid to leave their place.
But give it a bit, and many are going to suck it up and head over for some “quarantinis.”
And even if they don’t right away?
You are going to have some KILLER leads when this is all over. Because you will have gone through the tension of the situation together.
Yes, that’s right… this is one of the few times that it’s “cool” to do some real rapport over texting. To talk on the phone before taking it in person.
It’s breaking the rule, but every rule has a context… and for some that context is broken.
Anyway.
I know that for many of you, this is not the right time to do coaching.
Anxiety about the economy. Uncertainty about the future.
And the slowdown in activities means a slowdown in dating.
I get it.
Which is why I’m proposing this:
You guys who have been considering “doing the work” — get the masterclass now, and when this is all over, consider jumping in for the real thing.
